FAQ

Questions people often ask

Is it safe to exercise with high blood pressure or diabetes?
For most people, yes, and regular exercise is part of looking after these conditions. That's why Madeleen screens your health first and supervises your sessions. If you have a heart condition, you'll need your doctor's go-ahead before starting.
Will exercise replace my medication?
No. Exercise works alongside your medical care. Never stop or change your medication without speaking to your doctor.
How much exercise should I be doing?
The World Health Organization recommends that adults do at least 150 minutes of moderate activity a week, plus muscle-strengthening exercise on two or more days. Madeleen will help you build up to this safely, starting wherever you are now.
Does medical aid pay for chronic condition programmes?
Most medical aids are accepted, and some schemes have specific benefits for chronic conditions. Cover depends on your plan, so ask us to help you check.
